Registered Colony Caregiver

To address the issue of community cat overpopulation, the HBSPCA operates the Community Cat Program by the process of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR). In collaboration with caregivers, we trap, neuter, vaccinate, microchip, and ear-tip community cats before returning them to their original locations. At times we will place these community cats into our adoption program if we find them suitable for the program.

Ear-tipping serves as a visual indicator that the cat has been sterilized and vaccinated.

This program is essential for managing community cat populations and promoting their well-being.

If you have encountered a stray cat on your property, it is recommended to contact Hamilton Animal Control at (905)-574-3433. This cat may be lost, abandoned, or simply straying from its home.

Reporting the stray cat to Animal Control will help ensure its safety and well-being. They can assess the situation and take appropriate action, such as scanning the cat for a microchip
